TomTom 25 years
In 2016 TomTom celebrated its 25th anniversary. To honor its Customer care department, through which many impactful colleagues and individuals had passed through the company created a book.
For even more impact we collaborated on 3 videos showing 3 different people that had their feet in the department. This meant creating a style that felt close to the heart of those involved and authentic to those who were watching. We ended up with 3 beautiful portraits where our heroes truly spoke their minds. Regardless if they were still part of the company or not, and celebrated purely for who they are.

The Process
-
The brief came from TomTom’s employer branding team. Tomtom was halfway through production of the book celebrating 25 years of Customer Care at TomTom. This book formed the initial idea for the video series.
-
Taking the first stories that were gathered as an insight. We developed the idea to script the videos with the words our characters provided us. Deepdiving into their surroundings and history through conversations led to finding and creating imagery with a deeper meaning and connotation to their stories and personalities.
-
We only had time to film one day for each video. We heavily cooperated with the characters, and planned thoroughly but also kept a very minimized crew for flexibility. Going with the documentary look and feel. During the production, we kept our eyes open and found some hidden gems that really kept the videos close and personal.
