Jacobs Dauwe Egberds provides coffee and tea-related products, at home and in businesses. But having a cup of coffee is often more than just a drink. It brings people together.
This video shows that those moments are not only small moments of joy but sometimes also moments that build bridges.
They can mean support, love, appreciation, or just a warm welcome.
Service film
Not only does JDE provide beans and machines to companies, but they also provide service contracts.
This second film shows the people and effort behind a worry-free cup of coffee in the morning.
Conceptually all the moments we see in this film happen right before the connecting scenes in the first film.
The Process

As a creative, you sometimes get on board while the project is already moving. This time the project needed some real-world solutions.
The brief was to create two assets.
One focused on the products ( coffee, tea, and machines), and the other focused on the service side of JDE.
With a relatively limited budget and time, I set to work. -
The two assets formed some problems in the beginning. By reshaping the concept I made two storylines that practically intertwined.
This meant we could film both videos close to each other. It even allowed us to make extra assets.
Finally, we created ten short videos on top of the two longer ones that were a great addition.

By fully aligning the team, we stayed precise and effective during production.
A great storyboard by Yannick van Oort helped us and the client to visualize the concept. Eventually, it took the team 2,5 days to film all shots needed.
